Better Together Luncheon

Shangri-La’s Better Together Luncheon aims to raise awareness about the work Shangri-La is doing to create communities where all people are celebrated for their abilities, and to inspire financial support that will help individuals with disabilities and families with disadvantages realize and achieve their full potential.

The luncheon is free. Guests will enjoy a light lunch and be treated to an informative and inspirational program. Guests will be encouraged to make a meaningful financial contribution, however, there is no minimum gift level and no requirement to give.

Community Wiffle Ball Game

June 20, 2018 | 11-2 p.m. | Betty Wheeler Memorial Field (852 NW Nye St. Newport, OR 97365)

Shangri-La’s community wiffle ball game, held annually at Betty Wheeler Field in Newport, is an opportunity for people with and without disabilities to connect and build a shared understanding through a friendly-competition wiffle ball game.

Shangri-La invites community members of all abilities to play, watch or cheer! All attendees are treated to a ball park lunch following the game. Those interested in playing should register by calling Kathy Sewell at 541-265-4015.

Capital City Cornhole Classic

September 8, 2018 | State Capitol State Park (155 Waverly St NE, Salem, OR 97310)

Shangri-La and Salem Ale Works are excited to present that third annual Capitol City Cornhole Classic on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the State Capitol State Park in Salem.

This friendly-competition cornhole tournament also features good eats from local food trucks, craft beer from Salem Ale Works, and activities for the whole family, including a cornhole challenge course.

Registration opens July 15.
